Charles Masmar has been a part of the Family Activity Center since 2009. He has been a volunteer, a UNI student intern, and now a staff. He has been the director of the FAC since September of 2014. Charles enjoys seeing relationships between the students and the staff members grow every day. He likes to build these relationships through small group Bible studies, playing basketball, and assisting with school work. In his free time, Charles likes to spend time with his wife, family, and friends. He also enjoys being outside, music, and sports.
Molly White has been working at that Family Activity Center since last summer. She is a junior at the University of Northern Iowa studying English Education and she appreciates the valuable experience she is gaining working with the kids in the program. Molly enjoys not only working with the students in a large group setting but also values the individual conversations she gets to have daily. She is passionate about writing and art and she especially loves being creative with students.
Ebony Cody works in the Family Activities Center with kids in the after school program. She has been working with them since September of 2014. She really enjoys learning about the different cultures each child brings. Watching them learn is a very rewarding experience. When she is not working, Ebony enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with her friends and playing her violin.
Katie Schickel has been working in the Family Activities Center after school kids’ program since June of 2014. Katie loves discovering each child’s beautiful and quirky personality. Her day is made when she watches a child be kind and loving to another person. Katie is a Social Work major at UNI and enjoys swimming, baking, and laughing.
