Christmas Assistance keeps parents from making the hard choice between a gift for their child or paying necessary bills. Qualified families receive a gift for each child, coats and cold-weather accessories, and the makings for Christmas dinner. The Salvation Army endeavors to bring spiritual light and love to those it serves at Christmas so the meaning of the season is not forgotten.
To meet the needs of the Christmas season and coming year, 9000 hours are given by bell ringers, drivers, counters, and coordinators to raise funds for The Salvation Army.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Day Meals
Thanksgiving and Christmas Day Meals are prepared by volunteers, as well as a holiday meal to ensure those in need do not spend the holidays alone or without a celebratory meal.
Nursing Homes are visited during the holidays of Easter & Christmas with each resident receiving a special gift.
